Kyla is a 2022 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University as a joint member of the John Wesleyan Honors College and Luther Lee Scholars Program. She has been practicing as an immigration social worker for the past three years, working with survivors of crime and human sex and labor trafficking. Kyla is also a current student at the University of Dayton School of Law and expects to take the Indiana Bar in July 2027 to practice as an immigration lawyer. Kyla lives in Madison County, Indiana, with her husband—a middle school social studies teacher—and their four cats. She enjoys bike riding, hiking, thrifting, and running a feline rescue with her husband.
